Hello I could get used to this! Most of us got a day off yesterday. Wasn’t it fantastic! No waiting to see if you have got to travel miles for a crap game. No bleating from Barry. Got up later, an even more leisurely breakfast than normal. Travel to Dartford for a family BBQ then down to the park for the local fete, good weather and tribute bands that covered Beach Boys, Rod Stewart and Take That. Then back to my daughter’s garden to pick up the last rays. No hold ups on the M25 on the way back…a really wonderful day. When is the next day off? ? I see it’s in a couple of weeks time….perhaps the seaside? ajob

It was the way Sundays are meant to be Graham.
Had a BBQ myself with a few friends who we hadn't seen for a while and my son had my attention for a whole day - which is unusual!

Especially August 9th from the look of it.
If you're fit and available you're almost certain to be doing a game!

Death is no let up either, unless the entire board receive hand delivered letters from God in triplicate. Even then we'll stick you at Umpire ;D

Imagine my surprise when I saw that I only had a senior game, in Kent/SE London, this Sunday.
Banker in the Black is picking me up at 11.45am - I will actually be able to spend a morning with my family for a change and not have to rush out of the door at 9!!
Me thinks a lie in is in order (the wife can attend to nipper). ;D

The wicker man is expected to be there for kickoff time and the coin toss will decide whether they use petrol or paraffin to get the fire going.
