I note that in 1994 we were being paid £32 per game. If game fees had kept up with the retail price index since then, we would now be earning about £52 per game!

The AA reckon typical true vehicle running costs back then were about 43p a mile. So if you drove a 100 miles roundtrip to a game it costs you £43.00 leaving you £32 - £43 = £11 out of pocket. Today the AA reckon 70p a mile. So if you drove a 90 mile roundtrip to a game, it costs you £63 leaving you £40 - £63 = £23 out of pocket. Time to start using public transport!

Dont mind not going there myself - traffic into London always a pain, parking at Blitz is a pain. Games last forever (some were over 3.5 hours?) due to visible clock and 80-0 scorelines.
