Well, after 24 years at Exmouth Community College am jumping ship and taking early retirement (at a mere 55!). Plan is to spend first year self-funding but devoted to developing football in schools nationally (please see coach and teach / contacts at;
britishamericanfootball.org
and it is my intention to build this with all three groups in mind and integrated as far as I can - BAFA , BAFRA & BAFCA.
The football Programme at Exmouth will continue - September sees the start of Year 6!
Best wishes to all my BAFRA colleagues - hope to see you out and about on the field of play this coming year!

Rob - happy retirement! Is this going to free up some time so you can do some officiating? It would be good to get you on the field and, as you know, we are short of officials in your neck of the woods.

Hi Paul, thanks and yes it does, although I'm only 5v5 qualified. Unlikely I'll do much this summer but next year will be different (am just about to start intense examination marking season with new software and seven team members (four of whom are new to marking). Plus I'm still working, training etc. Other stuff has gone on for me personally too, so feeling a tad stretched at the moment. But once I am settled, sure - after all, no point getting qualified if I'm not going to use it! It's just a timing issue at the moment.
Speak soon
all the best!
Rob
