Just wondering, as I think a number of you have been over to the states (inc Texas?) to do games ... is there an easy way to see where all the HS teams that are in the state are based?
I'm looking at a trip at some point, and rather than searching through every school in Texas, figure out where they are, and then see if any of their schedules match where I'll be on a given date, I was hoping I might be able to skip the first bit somehow and find a map, kind of like this (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_wvoLtwni0kc/Rt1tXcsgi_I/AAAAAAAAKu0/VVEv9NKIMio/s1600/nfl_team_Map.GIF), but just for Texas HS football.
FYI - I'm only wanting to spectate, so dont go getting all worried I'm thinking of trying to officiate out there before I'm even qualified over here!

Steve
You can go pretty much anywhere you want and get wall to wall football in Texas in football season. We can get you some games if you want - probably middle school so no real pressure - or if you want to work chains on a college game or just watch as much football as you can let me know.

Steve I'll probably be going back over next year or the year after (Ref Thats Left will probably be going this year AND next - ) Usual format is: Fly into Houston Weds Try and see some baseball if still in reg season on Weds night Work 2 games on Thursday doing Freshmen and JV games Friday night get on Varsity game (if you're lucky), or do chains/clock or at worst go watch a game. Saturday - 2 college games (fuelmixer and I saw TCU host Wyoming and SMU host Tulsa last year). Sunday - NFL game (Cowboys normally lose when I go - ;( ) Monday - watch Monday Night game at sports bar or similar OR go if Cowboys playing at home Monday night. Tuesday - chill/see sights Weds - fly home If this sounds like your thing then let Keith or me know. Dan

Is this a BAFRA only travel agency or do you accept foreigners, as well? I am thinking about such a trip for 2012. And I will buy beer(s), of course

Mats
We don't mind people from Germanic nations coming along if they buy the drinks...but some Texans struggle to understand us let alone a German accent ;D

This Texan has enjoyed meeting and working with our visitors from across the pond. I am extremely impressed the ya'lls extensive knowledge of the rules and the mechanics of the game.
I hope ya'll plan to return next season. You may want to bring a whole crew.

The Ref Thats Left, notaclue, fins539 and I made up a 4 man all-Brit crew in Georgetown in 2008. Great experience and one I would love to repeat soon.
Who's up for Texas in 2013? Next year's a bit soon for me in respect of $$$.
